In every suburb, homeowners can’t be sure who’s about to walk into their house, and good trades of every background can’t get found past their own street. Handmark fixes both ends: post a job with photos and a voice note, get up to three quotes from ID-checked plumbers, electricians, painters, tilers and appliance techs, check a PIN at the gate, and pay only when you sign off the work. Told as a photo-comic issue.
